My Windows Defender is not allowing me to install a program. How do I troubleshoot this problem?

Question by rascoe627: My Windows Defender is not allowing me to install a program. How do I troubleshoot this problem?
I tried turning the firewall off, but Windows Defender still isn’t allowing me to install my program. I also tried adding it to my install list, but Windows isn’t allowing me to do that either. How do I troubleshoot this problem?

Have you tried uninstalling windows defender & then installing this program?

If windows defender is such a problem you should use something else less annoying.

Look at my answer in the link below for some other programs to use.

BTW – there are numerous complaints about windows defender out there. It works fine for some folks & others… they experience all the fun & joy that a poorly done software program by microsoft can give. + the updates aren’t very timely _> go figure.

  1. Trid says:

Uninstall or disable windows defender and try pctools firewall plus do the expert install and you will have full control of your firewall. Oh….and it’s free.
